SCOTT E. DECATUR, Ph.D.
DIRECTOR, QUANTITATIVE RESEARCH

Scott Decatur, Director of Quantitative Research, has ten years of investment industry experience. Scott is also a Partner of Philadelphia International Partners, the entity that, along with The Glenmede Trust Company, owns Philadelphia International Advisors, LP.

As Director of Quantitative Research, Scott is responsible for maintaining, monitoring, and enhancing PIA’s proprietary quantitative techniques, including security and country ranking models, investment valuation tools, market trend analyses, and risk models. In addition, Scott and his team manage two quantitatively driven investment strategies, 130/30 and international small cap. Scott joined the investment team in 2004.

Prior to joining PIA, Scott spent two years at Delaware Investments where he was a member of the Structured Products Group and served as Director of Quantitative Equity Research. Scott also spent five years with Grantham, Mayo, van Otterloo & Co. as a Quantitative Investment Analyst, focusing on emerging markets. He also worked as a Research Fellow at the NSF Center for Discrete Math and Computer Science. Scott has been published in multiple journals for his work on noise-tolerant machine learning and has spoken at conferences on topics in both machine learning and investments.
